Release of information about registered sex offenders in the State of Arkansas is governed by specific guidelines as to who may be notified about certain offenders. The Yell County Sheriff's Department handles registration and notification for individuals required to register as sex offenders who reside inside Yell County, excluding the cities of Danville and Dardanelle, whose police departments handle registration themselves.
If you believe you may have a registered sex offender living near you, and have not received a notification, please contact Det. John Foster at the Dardanelle Office to see if a notification is available. Sometimes offenders may move into the area without registering, and input from members of the community can be useful in alerting law enforcement to their prescence.
The Arkansas Crime Information Center maintains a searchable online database of level 3 and 4 sex offenders registered in the state. If you follow the link below you can then follow their instructions and conduct a search for offenders in your area. Please keep in mind the list may or may not be current.
